The Park was designed by Landscape architect West8 whose firm also designed the Miami Beach Soundscape in front of the New World Symphony and has the same feel with the geometric/organic shaped walkways as pictured above.

The park’s design allows for more open areas and less tree coverage in the center to accommodate the upcoming Design Miami which will occupy the park for two months every year once complete.

The park will feature 500 new trees, open lawn spaces, shade areas, walkways, lighting, a veteran’s memorial, public restroom facility, a flexible area space, and public art. The park will also afford the opportunity for future market stands, food kiosks, and concessions.

In addition to the existing 2.80-acre park on the north side, once complete the Convention Center will be home to 12-acres of new green spaces with 1,330 new trees.
